Yedikule and City Walls were part of defence walls surrounding historic Constantinople and built by Theodosius II in early 5th Century. Yedikule which means seven towers was partly built by Ottomans and used as a treasury, fort and prison throughout time. This was also the place of the Golden Gate which was used for ceremonial purposes during the Byzantine period. After visiting Yedikule we will drive along the ancient walls that mark the historic border of Constantinople.
Chora Church holds some of the finest Byzantine mosaics depicting Bible and life of Virgin Mary.
Bosporus Cruise is one of the must do’s in Istanbul. On this one and half hour cruise by public ferry along this legendary waterway we will see Neo-Classic Ottoman palaces, mansions and indulge in great views in between Europe and Asia. We will get off the ferry in Asian side and have a lunch break in Uskudar.
Beylerbeyi Palace was built on the Asian shore of Bosporus in the 1860’s as a summer palace for royalties and a royal guest house. Like any other Muslim palace it is separated into two sections, Selamlik the official section and Haremlik the family section. It bears Neo-Classic and Baroque features and is less visited compared to Dolmabahce Palace.
Çamlıca Hill is one of the best locations for a great view of Istanbul and Bosporus that separate Asia from Europe. We will have a short walk around and maybe a coffee break in one of the cafes here before driving on the Bosporus suspended bridge back to European side and you will be dropped at your hotel. Tour will end around 17:00 PM.
Price starting from 120 EUR per person depending on group size.
